Here are a few things you can do to assist us in keeping all students safe as they arrive and leave school each day:

• Observe the traffic signs and adhere to the 20mph speed zones.
• We encourage you to use the pickup line in front of the school.  Please stay in the correct lane of traffic at all times and turn right when exiting the drive.
• Avoid parking on 13^th Street near the bus lane.  The buses must have room to make the turn out of the bus lane.
• You may park in the northeast parking lot or around the playground.  Avoid parking on 4^th Avenue in front of the school to ensure that the flow of traffic is not interrupted.  Students will not be allowed to meet you in the parking lot.  You will need to walk up the sidewalk to meet your child.  This helps us make sure we see who picks them up and it keeps them from getting into the traffic on a very busy street.
• Observe the one-way street (SW 13^th Street) in the afternoon.
• Do not stop in the crosswalk to drop off or pick up students.  This is a traffic violation as well as a safety issue.
• Cell phone use is prohibited in school zones.
• It is illegal to park in the red zones in front of the school and the yellow zones on 4^th.
• If your child has a change in transportation for the day, you will need to call the office by 2:00pm in order to make sure the message can be delivered, or you may send a note to your child’s teacher.  Students will be sent home their routine way unless we receive a note or phone call changing transportation.
